SharePoint 2013 RTM was released to MSDN and TechNet subscribers, fortunately users who don’t have subscription can have copies of this “kul” version of SharePoint now. Go to this link (from TechNet), log in with your Live account and start download the iso file of SharePoint 2013. This is evaluation edition for 180 days, install it using this key: NQTMW-K63MQ-39G6H-B2CH9-FRDWJ.

In this article, I will show you step-by-step in installation SharePoint 2013 on your machine. I try it on my local machine (actually on hyper-v), and it work like a charm, no errors and warning. Before starting installation, you should check requirements for this version. The system I used:

– Intel Xeon X3210

– RAM 4GB (minimum I think, 8GB will be great)

– 60GB HDD

– Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (you can use Windows Server 2012, no problem)

– SQL Server 2012

Installation for this version of SharePoint is familiar with SharePoint 2010, so I will give your the best guide I think to install SharePoint 2013 for development and testing (single server).

Step 1: Build server – link.

Step 2: Install SQL Server – link.

Step 3: Install SharePoint – link.

Note: take note for accounts created for services
